Route 66 Bag

Route 66 Bag

A quick update on a new fabric line that was just released by Michael Miller Fabrics at Spring Market last week featuring Route 66… and my bag that celebrates it! A perfect opportunity to showcase off the new Preppy Mini-Tote Set with Black Handles as well!  The kicky fabric is featured in a quilt by Verlinda Magby of OK Quiltworks  (www. okquiltworks.com ) in Oklahoma City called ”Memories on Route 66″.  Both bag and quilt were displayed in the Michael Miller Fabrics Booth in Portland during Spring Quilt Market, and are now “home” at OK Quiltworks. Love those graphic icons!

Very happy to have the latest edition of my Preppy Mini-Tote ready to ship! The new version completes the group by offering BLACK WOOD handles. These handles were made specifically for me, so it has been a long process to put it all together. The Set is priced at $38. Give us a call at the Studio if you would like to order- also I should mention, we do sell extra wood handles for the Preppy!

New Preppy Mini-Tote Set

The New Preppy Mini-Tote Set with Black Handles!

Just wanted to share the latest… a new Preppy Mini-Tote Set is in the works! This variation will feature BLACK wood handles! I have had more fun playing with fabric around here to find my favorite pairings to show them off on the pattern cover. I hope you like the fabrics by Jane Sassaman that I choose. I have long been in awe of her use of color, and it seemed to really pop! For the bit of coordinating ornament, I combined a few findings from my unorganized but vast collection of “little stuff”! The result is a flower made from the back of a felt scrapbook piece, and two buttons. This was then glued directly to the wood of the handle. The Black Handle Set joins the other 2 set options.. Light Oak, and Walnut. Keep in mind, extra handles are available for all sets.
